In summarising what constitutes true knowledge of God, we showed that we cannot form a true picture of his character without feeling awed by his majesty and compelled to serve him. As to knowledge of ourselves, we showed that it consists mainly of renouncing any idea of our own strength, and throwing away all confidence in our own righteousness. So, made fully aware of our need, we learn true humility.
