Ladies’ Bible Study
The notes for the next ladies’ bible study are on the table at the back of church (pink sheets). Please take one in advance of tomorrow night, 22nd February, 7.30pm.
This will be held again on Saturday 27th February at 10am. This is an outreach to the community as well as an event for our own children. There are songs, activities, puppets, stories, refreshments etc. Speak to Alexa Simm or Heather Chilcott if you would like to know more about these events.
There will be another discussion morning on this subject on the 19th March from 9am-12.30pm. It will be the second running of this topic in which Rob Durant and Eddie Larkman will be giving talks on the biblical view of human sexuality and the pastoral outworking of this.
** BARN DANCE 7th May **
We are having a barn dance on the evening of Saturday 7th May at Selwyn Hall in Box. Steve and Ruth Lancaster will be coming along and this will be a great opportunity for all our congregations to get together. We will be needing some help for this occasion. If you can help with setting up the hall, food and/or clearing up then please write your name on the form at the back of the church.
The next Connected group will meet on Saturday 27th February, 8pm at the home of Tim and Beth Mills. Please chat to one of them for further info about these groups.
Anne Saunders would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who baked cakes and came along to support her with her fundraiser for Street Child United on Saturday 6th February. The event raised £400. Anne would like to express her thanks for your kindness and generosity.
The Lancasters will be sharing their mission news on Sunday 10th April at the evening service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
This will be on Sunday 10th July. Steve Lancaster will be preaching at both morning services and the evening service. There will be an international tea before the evening service. Details to follow in due course!
Copies of Steve and Ruth’s last newsletter before returning to the UK can be found on the table at the back. Alternatively you can visit their blog which can be found at their site… www.lancsintanz.aimsites.org.
