11.15am           Eddie Larkman

5:00pm             Prayer meeting

Evening Service

Please note our service this evening is a prayer meeting and will start at 5pm, NOT 6pm. The fast ends today with a meal together at 3pm which will then lead into the prayer meeting.

ACM

Our annual church meeting and normal church meeting will take place on Monday 10th April.  Minutes and agendas will be available next Sunday at the back.

Celebration @ Annual Church Meeting

Both Eddie and Kathy celebrate milestone birthdays in March and May!  We have decided to jointly celebrate their birthdays by having a tea with cakes/sandwiches etc. before we commence the ACM on 10th April, at 7pm.  Please sign up on the sheet at the back if you are able to provide any delicious taste treat for the night (finger food + cakes).

Uganda Youth Fundraiser

Several young people are going on the mission trip to Uganda in the summer and are holding a fundraising event on Saturday afternoon, 22nd April, and will include coffee and cake and an auction of promises.

Let there be Science – David Hutchings

David Hutchings is a physics teacher who has recently co-authored a book on science and religion.  He will be coming to give a presentation on Christianity and science working hand in hand. This will be followed by a Q&A session and refreshments.  Date: Saturday 13th May @ 7:30pm at Priory Street.  Please invite non-Christian friends!

Cards for Persecuted Church

Easter cards for Persecuted Believers are available at the back. Please send with prayer and a verse of encouragement. Please contact Vanessa for further details.

Superhero Holiday Bible Club: 18th April – 21st April, 10am-12.30pm

This is for primary school aged children.  This year we will be looking at some Bible heroes as we gather together for our fun-filled holiday club. As always this cannot be done without the support of our fantastic church family.  If you would like to serve God then there are many areas in which you can serve: Worship, leading and helping small groups, catering, welcome, registration, kitchen help, serving refreshments, sound desk, projector, set up and set down.  If you would like to know more about the holiday club including how to serve, please speak to Rhiannon, who will be only too willing to talk things through with you.  Please start praying for this amazing opportunity to share God with the next generation.

Parents’ Evening (for parents of Young People)

Dan Ovens would like to invite all parents of teens to his house (16 Arnolds Mead) on Thursday 4th May 7.30pm for a parents’ evening. The idea is to provide an opportunity for you to find out how your child is getting on, about what they get up to and future youth ministry plans (without relying on prising information out of your child!). There will also be space for you to give honest evaluation, ask questions and share any concerns. Chat to Dan if needed!

From the Treasurer.

We are looking for volunteers to add to our team of counters for the weekly offering. This involves being available to count and record the Sunday morning offerings at 12.30pm for about 20 minutes approximately once a month, starting in May. The task is always done by a counter and a recorder.  If you are willing to join the team please contact Roger Hammett or Michael Prior.

Open Meeting

There will be another open meeting for the 9.15am congregation on 9th April at 4.30pm. Please feel free to come along if you attend the 9:15am Sunday service at Priory Street.

Good Friday Walk of Witness

We will have our traditional Good Friday service at Priory Street at 9am (14th April).  This will be followed by the annual Walk of Witness with other Christians in Corsham.  We meet at the cross (near the Co-op) and walk down the High Street.  Refreshments are available at the conclusion of the walk at St. Aldhelm’s Church.

Easter Saturday Outreach – Corsham town centre

We will be having an outreach event on Saturday 15th April in The Chapel Gardens (the patch of grass outside the Co-op) from 10am- 12.  We will be serving hot cross buns, chocolate eggs, handing out Easter material, inviting people to our Easter service and holiday club.  There will be children’s activities – crafts, face- painting, glitter tattoos and lots of fun.  Assistance is required to set up a couple of gazebos at around 9am and to clear them away at the end. If you are able to hand out hot cross buns and chocolate, supervise crafts, face paints, apply glitter tattoos (incredibly simple but tutorial will be given!) then please speak to Rhiannon as to how you can support this outreach event in order to share God’s amazing love for us with our community.  Help share the truth about Easter.
