Streaming is from Church on the Green. You can join here.
We will be sharing communion at Priory Street this coming Sunday (14th November) in the 9.15am and 11.15am services. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate that we can once more gather to remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross! Church on the Green will be sharing communion on the 21st November.
Please bring your own bread and something to represent the blood of Christ (e.g. grape juice, red squash, non-alcoholic wine) as we will not be serving from the front in order to reduce the risk of COVID transmission. As an act of grace towards one another, and on the basis that we would not want to do anything to cause a brother or sister to stumble, please do not bring alcoholic wine.
Mission Prayer Meeting
Please join us to pray for our missionaries on Tuesday 16th November at 7.30pm. Contact Gill B for Zoom details.
Midweek Service
The next Midweek Service is Wednesday, 24th November at 2pm.
Youth Work Activities
Hi Church. I know how much you desire to pray and support the youth ministry so below are some details about what is coming up to fuel your prayer for young people!
– The Meet Up (Joint youth-led event co-run with Trinity Church, Chippenham): Fri 19th Nov 7-9pm
– Baptism Services involving young people: Sun 21st Nov (6pm), 28th Nov (9.15 & 11.15 services)
– Rescheduled Youth Weekend Away: Fri 3rd – Sun 5th Dec.
– Youth Christmas Meal & Awards: Sun 12th Dec.
And finally, to ponder: it is estimated some 95% of under 18s in England and Wales don’t go to church; that’s around 12 million kids! If you want to see that number go down and would like to know how you can get involved in youth work in the future, please come and chat to me. Thanks, Dan O.
Toddlers Call for Help
We’re delighted to have so many people wanting to come to our Toddler group on a Thursday morning at CBC, but we really need more helpers. Please contact Heather C if you’re able to help in this way. And, if you can’t help in person, please PRAY! (And for God’s wisdom knowing how to accommodate all who want to come with restricting numbers due to Covid.) Many thanks.
Souper Friday: Can you help?
Souper Friday – we are planning to open up again for soup/roll/tea/coffee very soon!
We need volunteers to help run this event every Friday.
We still plan to continue with a small number of deliveries and have our ‘market stall’ open, whilst at the same time there will be refreshments available.
If you can help with…
- Food packing (market stall)
- Providing soup
- Serve in the kitchen
- Sit in the coffee hall to listen and chat
- Setting up/down
…then please contact:
Colin W, Esther A, Joan C or Jo S.
