This week, in a change of style, Lesley and Neal share a quite extraordinary set of stories of those they have met. In paragraph after paragraph we see people that have endured physical and emotional hardships we can only guess at. Yet joy and hope jump out of the page. I don’t think I can put it any better than Lesley:
As you read, please pray that each person who’s story we’ve shared will find all their needs met and their hopes fulfilled as they learn more about Jesus, and to put their trust in Him and His eternal, incomparable and unconditional love for them

Thanksgiving celebrations at Oasis this week, as many other places. It sounds like the team had a great time of bonding together amongst their preparations for the Christmas events that will follow shortly. Witness the culmination of the ladies gift and updates on several of the people Lesley and Neal have introduced us to over previous weeks.
As you read, please also pray for these folks, for the perseverance spoken about in the parable of the unjust judge (Luke 18:1-8) and for them to experience the power of God, the just judge: http://grindrods.simplesite.com/437696944
This week Neal & Lesley have been reflecting on different rhythms to life in Austria. As you read through their news of this week please pray not only for ‘F’, ‘M’ and family but also that Neal and Lesley will be refreshed by a little time out and return with renewed energy for their work: http://grindrods.simplesite.com/437379132
This week may have seen the monthly ‘stock-take’ closure of the Oasis clothing room and a public holiday in Austria but was not, I think, any less busy for all that.
As you catch up on Neal and Lesley’s diary please do continue to pray that they have wisdom and stamina for their work and consolation at being away from home and loved ones.
Oh and the boat? Read on at: http://grindrods.simplesite.com/437290359
As mentioned last time Neal and Lesley have had visitors hence the bumper post this week. Whilst the leaves are still falling back in Corsham, plans are already well underway for some Christmas joy to share with the refugees: Click to read about Weeks 5 & 6
Catch up on some of the people Lesley introduced us to last week (sorry for no re-post on the CBC site, maybe you should read here before going on).
Then on to a big Wednesday when Neal gave an address in six-languages; and some dancing that was truly the oil of joy instead of mourning (Isaiah 61), a glimpse of the “day of the Lord’s favour” surely.
And that’s just half-way through the week, be sure to read (and watch) to the end: http://grindrods.simplesite.com/436990349
Sorry for the terrible pun… This week’s update sees not only an absorbing a game of Connect 4 but also connections with a range of individuals. Read their stories here Week 2 and please pray that they will connect with Jesus too.
As most of you will know, we fare-welled Neal and Lesley recently as they returned to Austria after their trip last year to spend four months working with the Oasis Refugee Ministry in Traiskirchen, just south of Vienna.
It certainly sounds like they’re right back in the thick of it with powerful stories of love and tragedy already, but don’t take my word for it, read for yourself: http://grindrods.simplesite.com/435831945
