PRAYING COLOSSIANS 2:8-15

Pray the Word photo8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. 11 When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.”

Colossians 2:8-15 New Living Translation

Prayer:

We are grateful to You and Your Word which warns us NOT to be led astray and deceived by false new movements or messages or experiences that draw us away from You! Lord help us to keep our eyes on Christ that Christ lives in all Your fullness in a human body which makes us complete! We have died Colossians 2-10 You Are Complete In Christ blackand been raised to a new life with Christ! We thank you because the sin and rebellion have been cut away from our hearts IN Christ for a new beginning with You! Praise God, our sins have been dealt with at the cross where every spiritual authority and power lays defeated at Christ’s feet! Thank you Lord! Help this sink into our hearts so that we will less likely to drift from Christ. Cause us to realize more everyday, that we don’t need to add to Christ; but instead to remind ourselves constantly of the greatness of Christ and all that He is for us. Help us to stand together as a church family in this reality and truth.

We entrust ourselves into Your care as we grow in You and love others, AMEN.
