PRAYING COLOSSIANS 3:12-17

CLOTHE YOURSELVES12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tender hearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. 16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:12-17 NLT

PRAYER:

COL 3Thank you Lord, that because we are IN CHRIST, we have become a loved, chosen, and holy people. As this scripture teaches us, help us to live this out in the details of our lives; that knowing we have been declared holy IN CHRIST,  will motivate us to actually drive us to change. Cause us to grow in spiritual maturity and take responsibility where we display changed relationships with other people. May your Spirit help us to love like Jesus loves. In our CBC communities, continue to grow us to be people who are peace-filled, word shaped, and always thankful. Change our hearts to honour Christ in all we do; that in our lives individually and together as His people, the world will see that you are over EVERYTHING we do. YOU are for us. Thank you our Triune God!

In Jesus’ name we pray, AMEN
