Good Friday service – 9.30am
Please join us for a short service on Friday morning as we remember Christ’s sacrificial death for us, and share communion together.
We then have the opportunity to take part in the annual Walk of Witness as Christians from local churches join together to walk through town, stopping at various points to read the Easter account from Mark’s gospel and sing Easter hymns. The walk starts from the cross in the garden opposite Co-op at 10.30am. We hope you can join us.
Easter Sunday Service – 10.30am
All are warmly invited to join us on Sunday morning as we celebrate the empty tomb and Christ’s resurrection. Rob D will bring the Word from Luke 24 and music will be led by Dave Matthews. Intercessory prayers will be led by Gill B. The service will be streamed online – click here to join.
Craft group – Saturday 8th April
If you enjoy crafts, do join us at Priory Street from 10am-12.30pm. You will find a friendly bunch of ladies (open to men too!) and we would love to meet you. Please bring your own craft project to work on.
Midweek service – Wednesday 12th April at 2pm
We would love to see you at our midweek service at Priory Street. David M will bring the Word from the gospel of John. We also enjoy refreshments, cakes and good conversation together after the service.
Prayer for gospel expansion – Saturday mornings
Please join us at 8am on Saturday morning at Priory Street to pray together and seek the Lord’s will as we move from three Sunday morning congregations to two.
After Easter, we will be moving our prayer outside into the Rudloe and Neston communities, holding prayer walks as follows:
15th April, 8.30am: Prayer walk round Rudloe, starting at Broadwood Primary School car park in Rudloe
22nd April, 8.30am: Prayer walk round Neston, starting at Neston Memorial Hall.
29th April, 8.30am: Prayer walk round Rudloe, starting at Broadwood Primary School car park in Rudloe
All are welcome to join us as we pray for God to work, and for the gospel to take root more deeply in these communities.

Who’s it for? Married couples of all ages and stages, and couples preparing for marriage.

April Mission Update
This month’s update has just landed on the table at the back of church. Please take a copy so you know how to be praying for our mission partners.
Filming at 11.15 service – 16th April
Filming will be taking place on the 16th April in order to produce a promotional video for CBC with the aim of reaching out to our local community. We’re creating this video to raise awareness of CBC and break down the barriers people might have about coming to church by featuring clips from a typical Sunday service. You can read more details here, and if you have any questions please contact jasminew@corshambaptists.org.
PA Updates
Ben R and his team will be making some modifications to the sound system as an experiment to improve our sound quality. This will be happening on Monday 17th April. Among the changes you may notice the removal 2 of the 4 on-stage speakers, to be replaced with in-ear monitors and the temporary placement of 2 largish black speakers as front of house speakers.
Church meeting and ACM – Monday 24th April
God willing, our next church meeting, incorporating our annual church meeting, will take place on Monday 24th April at 8pm. Please make every effort to attend as we consider important matters relating to home mission and a ministry internship, and hear reports from our leaders covering the last year in the church’s life. The meeting is open to all who regularly attend any CBC congregation.
Christian school urgently needs science teachers
Emmaus Christian School, Staverton, is urgently seeking chemistry and physics supply teachers for the forthcoming summer term. A teaching qualification is not necessary, but we are looking for people who have an aptitude for teaching and can commit to the Christian ethos of the school. Please click here for more information. .
