We will then join with other local churches in the annual Walk of Witness, starting at 10.30am near the Co-op and walking through the town. Orders of Service containing scripture readings and the route will be available at church after the service.

Easter Story Tour: 16th April – important info below!

We are only a week away and there’s still so much you can help with!

Bakers: a selection of cakes to offer our guests as alternatives to hot cross buns would be amazing! If you are able to bake some goodies, please let Rhiannon know. Cakes can be left at church on Thursday or Friday to be taken to the farm or, if you will be at the farm on Saturday just bring them with you. Dairy free and gluten free options are needed too.

Actors: there will be a short Zoom meeting on Monday 11th at 7.30pm to discuss logistics and costumes for anyone who is free to join. We will have a quick run through of the drama at 9.30am on the day itself. The Zoom link is below:

https://us04web.zoom.us/j/9326122329?pwd=SHljTU5wL01uT0pTbWxBMmFUNW8rQT09
Meeting ID: 932 612 2329
Passcode: 1vtLBM

Farm set up: we have gazebos and things to set up on the farm. This will be done on Thursday 14th April from 10am. Please come and help if you can. Please let Rhiannon or John know if you can do this so that we can contact you if plans change due to weather.

Prayer: Please cover this event in prayer! Pray for the weather, the volunteers, the guests, safety. Tickets are sold out and many of the people coming are not believers; we need God to use us in a powerful way to reach the lost! Pray that the story will have a real impact on those watching and also those taking part as they share the gospel in this visual way. We pray for fun, fellowship, new relationships to be built but above all we want God to be glorified, the gospel shared and people to come to know and love our Saviour Jesus

Please speak to Rhiannon or John if you haven’t already signed up to help out, there’s still plenty to do!!

Discipleship Explored course at Priory Street, starting 24th April, 6pm

How can we continue to grow as genuine disciples?  We need our hearts to be captivated and enthralled by the surpassing love of Christ. Discipleship Explored is a beautiful 8 session film series, with Christian testimony and insight from believers around the world on five continents, and rooted in Paul’s letter to the Philippians. It’s sure to be a blessing to you in your walk with Christ no matter how long you’ve been following Him or how far you’ve got in your walk (or even if you’ve done Discipleship Explored before!). Ladies Day – 23rd April – have you registered yet?

We love to get together as women at CBC and this year we will enjoy an ‘away day’ together in the village hall at Castle Combe.  All four of our congregations are invited to join together to enjoy this special day.  ‘He Will Hold Me Fast’ is the theme of the day and we will be feasting on God’s word as Sharon speaks from the book of Daniel. There will be special times of worship and prayer together too. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and a delicious cream tea to finish off the afternoon (if you have any dietary requirements, please let Anne H know in advance). In the afternoon we have the opportunity to explore the stunning village of Castle Combe.

Parking is available in the main village car park and there is some disabled parking at the village hall. We ask for a small contribution of £5 per head to cover the costs of the day. Any questions, we would love to hear from you – contact Anne H, Vicki K or Christine C.  You can book your tickets by clicking on the link here. With love from the Women’s Ministry Team

Rhiannnon on the radio!

Our wonderful children’s worker Rhiannon will be on BBC Wiltshire Radio at around 7:50am on Sunday! She’ll be talking with Jill Misson about our exciting Easter Story Tour. In case you don’t catch it, we’ll be sharing a link to it in our Facebook Group – click here to join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1505620653165672/?ref=share.
