Hang Out – Sun 5th February
Dear Key Stage 2 parents/guardians, February’s Hang Out has been moved from Sun 12th Feb to Sun 5th Feb due to half term commitments. Please send your KS2 children along to CBC this Sunday (4:00-5:30pm) for fun, food & fellowship. Rhiannon’s dusting off the parachute and is planning some physically active games, and there’ll be some Biblical content too. Any questions, please see Beth Mills or Rhiannon.
Gathered to Pray – Sunday 5th Jan
Please join us to pray this Sunday evening at 6pm when we will be praying with our vision “to increase the adoration of Jesus” at the forefront of our prayers. We will be praying particularly about evangelism at CBC as this is one of the 6 structural supports that will help us to work out the vision we believe God has laid on our hearts. It would be great to see a full Church on Sunday evening in prayer, as we know that prayer underpins all that we do for God.
Prayer for missions and the persecuted church – Tuesday 7th Feb
There will be another opportunity for prayer on Tuesday, this time for our mission partners and our persecuted Christian family around the world. Please join us on Zoom from 7.45pm.

Our Vision
At the church meeting last week, the Oversight Team introduced our vision for the next 5-10 years at Corsham Baptist Church. We’ve made a 5 minute video that explains the core of that vision which you can watch here (https://youtu.be/3vipV4643tc). Do watch the video and prayerfully consider how God may be calling you to join with us in our shared aim of increasing the adoration of Jesus.
Supporting CBC Financially: Pledging Information
As you will know from the church meeting last week, we’re facing a deficit of approximately £19k for our next financial year. This is due to costs having increased over the years since we last had a full pastor roster, but income remaining unchanged. As discussed at the meeting there is a need for further recurring income to fund our year ahead (Sept 23-Aug 24) and we are asking people to prayerfully consider increasing their giving. We are asking people to increase their giving as soon as they can, but recognise that for some this is not feasible. We’re asking for giving to increase now, because it enables greater clarity around budgeting ahead of time.
If you are able to pledge additional monthly giving to the church to help support the running costs, please follow this link to complete a Google form. Paper copies will be available at church on Sunday for those who would prefer not to do this electronically. Thank you for your prayerful consideration on this matter.
Josh Holmes – ministry in Texas
Josh is currently serving as an apprentice for Pais USA in Arlington, Texas. Pais is a mission organisation that partners with churches to host a team of missionaries to bridge the gap between church and community. As well as serving in the youth ministry of their host church, a large part of their work involves outreach into local high schools, helping in any way they can to make the hope of Jesus known to the students in the community. Discipleship is a key part of Josh’s ministry, as he mentors students from the youth group as well as from the schools he serves in. Josh is currently 13 months into an 18 month placement and is thoroughly enjoying the fruit that the Holy Spirit is producing in developing the young people there. If you would like to hear more about his voluntary work or how you could support him, please feel free to reach out to Josh through his email address: joshholmes98@hotmail.co.uk.
Hall Refurbishment
The final bit of plastering work in the hall will take place next Tuesday, and then the painting will begin over the next couple of weeks. Contractors will be laying new flooring commencing Monday 27th March and expected to take 4 days, although any delay or overrun could extend this. Any ministries/activities taking place in the church during that week will be disrupted due to the works taking place in the main hall, middle hall and the 3 side rooms, and will need to consider the practicalities of how they operate for that week. If anyone has any questions please speak to Jonny Street or John Godwin.

If that’s not enough to get you excited, have a look at the Windmill Farm website: https://www.windmillfarm.online/
