Women’s Ministry meal

Sister, you are warmly invited to join us at Priory Street for our first event, on 30th September at 7.30pm. We’ll start with a lush lasagne dinner all together and then satisfy our spirits with a taster of Hosea! It will be a fantastic night for the women of CBC to kick off our journey through this small, but rather stunning book. Please bring a £5 donation with you on the night towards the cost of the meal, and, to reserve your place, sign up here. For those not online, there will be a physical sign-up sheet at Priory Street, or contact office@corshambaptists.org.

Junior Church September’s memory verse

This month’s memory verse is:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41: 10

Bereavement Ministry and Support

As a Church we are planning to host a half day course on a Saturday morning run by Care for The Family called “The Bereavement Care Awareness Course”.

The aim is to show us how best to support people we know who are suffering in grief. If you are interested in this half-day course please email your interest to bereavement@corshambaptists.org so that we can book a date and provide you with more information.

For anyone who has suffered a significant loss, recently or in the past, and are finding their grief difficult to process, we are planning to run “The Bereavement Journey” course again in October. https://www.thebereavementjourney.org/

This is a seven week course consisting of small group videos and discussion developed by Christians. We ran four courses in the Spring term and they were all full. For the next course we plan to offer it on Saturday mornings starting on 12th October in the hut at Priory Street, from 10am to 12.30pm. If you are interested in joining please register your interest by emailing bereavement@corshambaptists.org

Continuity is important with this course, so if you have planned a holiday during those 8 weeks, other than half term week, we would suggest you sign up for the next course which will be offered after Christmas.

We are now opening the course to anyone in our local community whether or not they attend CBC, so please pick up a promotional sheet from the back of the sanctuary for yourself or if you have a friend, neighbour, colleague or family member who you think may benefit from the course. Please speak to Adam, Gordon or Anne Hill for more information.

Youth Weekend Away – Help Needed
