Guided by the Stripe Team, we have decided it is time to begin serving a soup lunch again and opening up the church hall for anybody who would love to come, share some food, have a cup of coffee and a chat with those of us who love Jesus.
Although we are really looking forward to starting this up again there are practical issues to be resolved. Mainly the need for volunteers to help run this event every Friday.
We still plan to continue with a small number of deliveries and have our ‘market stall’ open, whilst at the same time there will be refreshments available. Nearer lunchtime we will offer soup and a roll, finishing up at around 1 pm.
What needs to be done?
- Help with set up from about 8am.
- Help with food packing (market stall).
- Providing soup.
- Serve in the kitchen with refreshments/washing up.
- Sit in the coffee hall being available to chat with those who would like some company and a listening ear.
- Help with tidying up at the end of the morning.
