Assisting our Albanian brothers and sisters

Tim Stephenson,

If you are visiting today, we're thrilled to have you with us. We come here to worship God by singing, preaching the Bible and praying together. God is the highest priority in our lives because through Jesus we have forgiveness from our sins and the hope of a new life spent with Him!

  • Please switch off your mobile phone when you come in to the hall.
  • Please remember to park in one of the town car parks; not along Priory St.
  • Please ensure your child/ren do not play on the stage, up in the balcony or in the graveyard either before or after the service.
  • We have large print bibles available for anyone who might need one. Please ask one of the ushers.

We’re received news via WEBA of two partner churches in Albania affected by the recent severe earthquake. Please read this report from an Albanian pastor currently ministering at Cairns Road Baptist Church in Bristol, pray for him as he goes to visit and for those from two of the churches in the worst affected areas, Durres and Lezhe as they seek to care for people made homeless.

As part of our ongoing partnership with a group of churches in the Albanian Baptist Union, we have collected almost 5000 filled WEBoxes, which are currently being processed and will soon be on their way to Albania. It would be a wonderful expression of our oneness in Christ if we could add a significant gift towards the food parcels already planned to be distributed through our partner churches at that time.

WEBA have a facility to transfer funds via the Albanian Baptist Union. Nigel Coles, regional team leader writes,

“If you would like to add a gift to express our love in Christ, I have no doubt it will be used wisely and reach those considered to be in the greatest need.”

Please make any gifts with the reference ‘Albania earthquake’ either:
