Notices 31st March 2019

If you are visiting today, we're thrilled to have you with us. We come here to worship God by singing, preaching the Bible and praying together. God is the highest priority in our lives because through Jesus we have forgiveness from our sins and the hope of a new life spent with Him!

  • Please switch off your mobile phone when you come in to the hall.
  • Please remember to park in one of the town car parks; not along Priory St.
  • Please ensure your child/ren do not play on the stage, up in the balcony or in the graveyard either before or after the service.
  • We have large print bibles available for anyone who might need one. Please ask one of the ushers.

Safeguarding Deacon

Nominations for Safeguarding Deacon are still open. Please pray about this and whether you feel God is leading you to take on this important role in church life.  Speak to Tim Stephenson or any leader if you would like more information.  The paperwork is on the table at the back of church.  Hand your completed form to your congregational leader. Nominations will close on 7th April; the election will take place at the Church Meeting on 15th April.

Midweek Service

The next midweek service is taking place on Wednesday 3rd April at 2pm.  The text is Matthew 7.13-29 and Eric Seager will be leading and preaching.  The service is followed by tea/coffee and cake.

Celebrating Easter @ Church on the Green

Good Friday afternoon “Easter trail”: This Easter, we are joining with Heart 4 Rudloe to run an Easter outreach event at Crumpets Cafe on Good Friday in the afternoon, time to be confirmed, using Bible Society Easter trail material.

Delivering flyersIf you are willing and able to deliver some flyers in the week following Sunday 31st March, that would be very helfpul!.

Easter Sunday service, 10am: There will be a service at the normal time to celebrate the resurrection. If you are having people for a meal on that day, why not invite them to come to church with you first!?

Youth Matters!

Dan Ovens, our Youth Pastor, is looking for help with two events:

The Noise is being held on Saturday 4th May in Bristol (an event joining volunteers and churches across Bristol engaging in social/community activities).  Dan will be taking the group but he needs another leader for the day.  They will be leaving at 8:30am, returning around 5:30pm.  Please speak to Dan if you think you can help.

Soul Survivor: August 23-28 (Peterborough) – driver/s needed.  Dan is taking a large team of young people but in order to enable even more to go, we need additional driver/s (you would be using your own vehicle). Please speak to Dan if you are able to help.
