Short safeguarding video

If you attended the church meeting recently, you may recall the safeguarding video did not have sound, and of course there were a number of members who were unable to attend. Please can I ask people to watch this short safeguarding video from the Baptist Union to ensure we all know what our responsibilities are with regard to safeguarding at CBC. Important: if you have received an email from us or DDC asking you to undertake or update your DBS check, please can we ask you to complete this asap. If you have any queries, email elspethp@corshambaptists.org. Thank you for your support with keeping our church a safe place for everyone.

Newcomers lunch – 28th May

If you’ve started coming to CBC recently we’d love to get to know you a bit better and for you to get to know us and ask any questions about church life. We will be meeting when the 11.15 service finishes at Priory Street in the Church Hall, so around 1pm, for an informal lunch which will include newcomers to CBC and a cross-section of church members and leaders – families and more mature folk! All newcomers, please sign up on the sheet on the table at the back of church or, if you know someone who meets that criteria, please do bring it to their attention. If you attend Church on the Green, just drop Ruth in the church office an email on office@corshambaptists.org to register your attendance.

Budget Requests for 2023/24

We are currently drafting budgets for our next financial year (Sep23-Aug24). If you are a ministry leader and require a budget for next year, whether for recurring (existing) expenditure or new expenditure, please submit your request to treasurer@corshambaptists.org no later than 30th June. If you are able to send the information ahead of 30th June, that would greatly be appreciated. You are not guaranteed a budget if you do not submit a budget request. If you know the rough month you expect the expenditure to occur, please also include this information as it is of great help for planning our cash flow.

If you have any queries, please contact Tom L on treasurer@corshambaptists.org. Thank you.
