Hope Explored

The first of our Hope Explored sessions will be held this Sunday evening at 6pm at Priory Street. There is still time to sign up via the QR code opposite or Eventbrite – click here, or just turn up on the night. For more information about the course, please click here. The course continues on 30th April and 7th May.

Church meeting and ACM – Monday 24th April

God willing, our church meeting and annual church meeting will take place on Monday 24th April at 8pm. Please make every effort to attend as we consider various important matters and hear reports from our leaders covering the last year in the church’s life. The meeting is open to all who regularly attend any CBC congregation. The agenda and supporting documents will be available to collect from Priory Street on Sunday or you can click here to download them (and save a few trees!). If you’re unable to attend in person, you will be able to watch online – click here to join.

Midweek service – Weds 26th April

You are warmly invited to join us for our fortnightly midweek service. David M will be bringing us God’s word from John 3: 1-16, ‘The Pharisee in the dark,’ and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Men’s Night – Weds 26th April

The men of the church are invited to a ‘Men’s Ministry Initiative’. The plan is to take some of our meetings, to be known as ‘Table-Talk’, out into the Corsham and surrounding areas. The first of these will be held at The Three Brewers pub on Priory St. Corsham (just up from CBC Priory St) at 7:30pm on Wednesday 26th April. We will take a chapter of scripture, read it together, and then break out onto tables to discuss whilst enjoying relaxed fellowship together. This, we hope, will be a wonderful opportunity to worship our Lord together in this way, whilst being unashamedly out in the public domain. We may well have ‘chips’ to accompany our chat. Hope to see you there, and hopefully this will be the first of many ventures out into our community!

The Ark – Saturday 29th April

We would love to see you at The Ark, a fun and interactive service for primary school-aged children, which will be held at Priory Street from 10.30am-12pm. Join us for songs, crafts, Bible stories and puppets! Your free place can be booked via Eventbrite here and you can keep up-to-date via the Facebook page here.

Souper Friday Coronation Celebration!

The Souper Friday team invites you to come and watch the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May, from 10.30am. You will be able to watch the whole ceremony live and enjoy the usual Souper Friday café service.

Webnet free webinar on the Discipleship Cycle – Tuesday 9th May

The Discipleship Cycle is a simple tool to read the Bible more intentionally. There is now an app available so that we can read scripture and use this easy yet impactful process wherever we are. Nigel Coles, Webnet Senior Regional Minister, will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday 9th of May from 7.30pm to take us through the background, the process, and the potential of the Discipleship Cycle app for our deepening relationship with God. To book please click here.

Help with accommodation

We’ve received an enquiry from a Baptist minister based in Surrey whose son is coming to Box in July to commence a year’s placement as part of his university course. He is looking for accommodation from around 22 July 2023. If anyone has a room available for him to rent, please contact the church office to get the relevant details.
