Ark on the Farm – Saturday 25th June from 10.30am

Heather and the team invite you to Ark on the Farm, a service for children with lots of fun activities including puppets, a Bible story, crafts, games, paddling pool, sheep and tractor trailer rides! Please bring your own picnic, folding chairs or a picnic blanket, a towel to dry your wet kids and a cuddly sheep if you have one! We will provide tea and cakes! Invite your friends and family too. Discipleship Explored – Sunday 26th at 6pm

The focus for this week’s session is “Transformed in Christ” and we welcome all to discover with us what it means to become more like Christ as we study Philippians together.

Women’s Bible Study – Monday 27th June

We’re looking forward to meeting together for the last study in our series “Behold Our God” when Christine will share with us what God has laid on her heart. We will start at 7.30pm and refreshments will be available beforehand. We want to encourage meeting together in person but for those who are unable to the Zoom details are below.

Digital mixer training – Saturday 2nd July

All who are interested are invited to this training session in how to use the new digital mixer. Training will start at 2pm at Priory Street. If you are unable to make this date but keen to learn, please contact Ben on benr@corshambaptists.org.

Newcomers’ Lunch – Sunday 17th July

Our newcomers’ lunches have been on hold since the pandemic but we’re keen to start them again! If you have started coming to a service at CBC (any congregation) since March 2020 you are warmly invited to join us after the 11.15 service for a light lunch. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other better and for you to ask any questions you may have about church life here at CBC. There will be a mix of newcomers and longer-standing members of the church in various life stages – children are very welcome as this is an informal occasion. We’re delighted that you’re worshiping with us and would love you to join us. There’s a sign up sheet on the table at the back of Church or you can email or call Ruth in the church office.

Mission trip opportunity to Kenya

We have been invited to provide a team for childcare at the AIM Eastern Region conference in November in Kenya. We are looking for 5 people to be part of this team, 3 to support Rhiannon as she leads the team responsible for primary school-aged children and 2 to lead the care of the babies. If you are interested and would like to find out more, please contact Rhiannon for more information. The conference dates are 26-29 November 2022 (dates including travel likely to be Nov 24 – 30 but not yet confirmed).

Regular Activities

Community Money Advice is open for face-to-face meetings each Thursday evening and Friday morning. Do get in touch if you would like help and advice in this area. Pre-booked appointments only.
Craft Group: if you enjoy crafting come and join us on the first Saturday of the month (unless other notified) from 10am-12.30pm at Priory Street. Please bring your own craft project to do.
Souper Friday Café: Friday mornings from 9am. Come and enjoy a free drink, cake and soup. Open for help with food items to take away too. Speak to Colin W, Esther A, Joan C or Jo S for more information.
Ark Children’s Service: last Saturday of the month 10:30am-12:00pm during term-time only.
Mum’s Bible Study: Monday mornings between 9.30am-11.30am (term-time only). For more information speak to Christine C or Vicki K.
Toddlers: Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am during term-time only.
Life groups meet in person and/or online. Contact us if you’d like to join one.
