Joint service at The Corsham School – Sun 3rd

Join us at 11am at The Corsham School for our monthly service for all our congregations. Worship will be lead by Sharon D and the Rob D will be preaching on Mark 14:53-72. Please note that this service will not be streamed online.

Gathered to Pray – Sun 3rd

You are warmly invited to join us at our evening service at 6pm this Sunday when we will be praying for the needs of our church, our community and the wider world.

Zoom access to Special Church Meeting on Monday

A Special Church Meeting will be held on Monday 4th April at 8pm. The Oversight Team has recognised that, in these exceptional COVID times, there are a significant number of people who will be unable to attend this meeting. The meeting is open to all to attend, however, as a Special Church Meeting only full members are allowed to vote (and not associate members).

Recognising the importance of the decision being made, we feel it is important to include as many church members as possible in the process of discerning the mind of Christ. For that reason we will be bringing a proposal to the members present in the building at the Special Church Meeting that we allow people to join that same meeting via Zoom in order to vote confidentially on calling Rob Durant to be our Senior Pastor. Should the church members vote to allow Zoom votes on this occasion, members will be able to join the meeting using a link that will be sent out in the next few days.

Craft group – Sat 2nd

The craft group will be meeting tomorrow, Saturday 2nd, between 10am-12.30pm in the coffee hall at Priory Street. Bring your own craft project to work on.

Streaming workshop – Sat 2nd

Ben R will be running training on how to stream a live service, tomorrow from 4pm at Priory Street. This training is open to everyone but particularly those who are able to help stream the 11.15 service.

Prayer for missions and the persecuted church – Tues 5th

There is an opportunity for prayer with a focus on mission and the persecuted church this week. Join us by Zoom on Tuesday 5th April at 7.45 pm. Come and be inspired as we share about how God is at work.

Dates for your diary

Good Friday service and Walk of Witness – 15th April. Join us at 9.30am at Priory Street as we reflect on the events of Good Friday and share communion together. We will then join with other local churches in the annual Walk of Witness, starting at 10.30am near the Co-op and walking through the town.

Ladies Day – 23rd April. We love to get together as women at CBC and this year we will enjoy an ‘away day’ together in the village hall at Castle Combe.  All four of our congregations are invited to join together to enjoy this special day.  ‘He Will Hold Me Fast’ is the theme of the day and we will be feasting on God’s word as Sharon speaks from the book of Daniel. There will be special times of worship and prayer together too. A tasty lunch will be provided, as will refreshments throughout the day and a delicious cream tea to finish off the afternoon (if you have any dietary requirements, please let Anne H know in advance).

In the afternoon we have the opportunity to explore the stunning village of Castle Combe. Parking is available in the main village car park and there is some disabled parking at the village hall. We ask for a small contribution of £5 per head to cover the costs of the day. Any questions, we would love to hear from you – contact Anne H, Vicki K or Christine C.  You can book your tickets by clicking on the link here. With love from the Women’s Ministry Team
