Prayer walk around Rudloe – Saturday morning

Please join us on a prayer walk for Rudloe tomorrow morning. We’ll set off from Broadwood School car park at 8.30am.

Church meeting

The church meeting will be held on Monday 15th July at Priory Street, starting at 8pm. Apologies for absence can be submitted in advance to office@corshambaptists.org. For those who are unable to get to church that evening, a YouTube link is available for you to watch online – please request it from the office. Meeting agendas and reports can be collected from church this coming Sunday.

Midweek service – Weds 17th July at 2pm

All are warmly welcome to our midweek service. Steve Lancaster will be bringing the Word from Mark 4: 1-20, and we’ll enjoy refreshments together afterwards.

Ignited Summer Lunch party

If you are a parent or carer for a child in the Ignited Junior Church group (the group that meets in the coffee hall) and have not received an invitation for your child and their family to a summer lunch party after church on 28 July or 18 August please do let Katharine Mortimer know. The invitation is for all Ignited children. Contact Katharine on kmortimer2012@gmail.com.

Junior Church memory verse

Memorizing scripture is so helpful for everyone, young or old. Our Junior Church will be memorizing a different verse each month and all the adults are encouraged to learn them too! This month’s memory verse is:

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life. John 3: 16

Men’s Weekend Away – 20th-22nd September

There’s still space for you on the Weekend Away if you haven’t yet booked. We’ll be staying at the YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse, Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The dates are Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd September with an option to stay until Monday morning at no extra cost. The cost is £85 per person (concessions available as required) – the priority is to have you there so please talk to Ian Holmes or Dave Eckley if funding is an issue.

Teaching will be by Mark Fossey, Senior Pastor at Redeemer Church in Croydon. Mark has been involved in church ministry for over 20 years in central and suburban London. There will be plenty of food (chef duties ably supplied by our brother Tim Hogg), walks out, coffee in the local village, worship, and nightly fellowship around the firepit.

Regular Activities

• Junior Church: volunteers are needed to enable this ministry to continue at our Sunday services. You don’t necessarily have to teach and it won’t be every Sunday. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you feel you can serve in this way, please complete the form here so that the necessary safeguarding checks can be done.
• Our Community Money Advice service is available by appointment for anybody who is struggling with debt problems. Do get in touch if you would like help and advice in this area. Tel. 07895 716485.
• Prayer for Missions & the Persecuted Church: the first Tuesday of every month, 8pm on Zoom. Contact the office for login details.
• Women’s Bible Study: we meet on the last Monday every month from 7.30pm.
• Souper Friday Café: Friday mornings from 10am-1pm. Come and enjoy a free drink, cake and soup. Open for help with food items to take away too. Speak to Colin, Carol G, Brenda or Paul G for more information.
• Ark Children’s Service: last Saturday of the month 10:30am-12:00pm during term-time only.
• Toddlers: Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am during term-time only.
• Life groups meet in person and/or online. Contact us if you’d like to join one.
• Youth Groups – contact Dan for further details.
