Prayer walk around Neston – Saturday morning

Please join us on a prayer walk for Neston tomorrow morning. We’ll set off from the Memorial Hall at 8.30am.

Praying Together – Sunday evening

All are encouraged to join us for our monthly prayer service on Sunday evening, 6pm at Priory Street. The prayer booklet is available at church for you to use during the month but please do come along on Sunday evening. You don’t have to pray out loud – just you being there will be an encouragement!

Church office closed 04-12 July

Please note that the church office is now closed until Monday 15th July as Ruth takes annual leave.

Saying goodbye

You may know that we will be losing some of our membership in the next few weeks as they move away/abroad. The Lewis family will be heading to the north-east of England soon and we’ll be saying goodbye to them in a Priory Street service (date to be confirmed). The Donovans will be moving to Uganda and we’ll bid them farewell in the Priory Street service on 21st July. Tim & Kate Harding are making a big move to Australia and their last Sunday will be 4th August. We’ll miss these folks and are so thankful for their faithful service at CBC in various ministries over the years.

Fellowship picnics – 4th August

Please note in your diaries the above date when we plan to have bring-and-share picnics after the morning services in Neston and Corsham, venues to be confirmed nearer the time. All are welcome!

Junior Church memory verse

Memorizing scripture is so helpful for everyone, young or old. Our Junior Church will be memorizing a different verse each month and all the adults are encouraged to learn them too! This month’s memory verse is:

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life. John 3: 16

Out of bounds

Mums and Dads at Priory Street are asked to remind their children that the area behind the Hut is out of bounds, due to there being hazards and broken bits and bobs back there.

Church meeting

Another quick reminder that the church meeting will be held on Monday 15th July at Priory Street. Apologies for absence can be submitted in advance to office@corshambaptists.org. For those who are unable to get to church that evening, a YouTube link is available for you to watch online – please request it from the office.

Men’s Weekend Away – 20th-22nd September

There’s still space for you on the Weekend Away if you haven’t yet booked. We’ll be staying at the YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse, Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The dates are Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd September with an option to stay until Monday morning at no extra cost. The cost is £85 per person (concessions available as required) – the priority is to have you there so please talk to Ian Holmes or Dave Eckley if funding is an issue.

Teaching will be by Mark Fossey, Senior Pastor at Redeemer Church in Croydon. Mark has been involved in church ministry for over 20 years in central and suburban London. There will be plenty of food (chef duties ably supplied by our brother Tim Hogg), walks out, coffee in the local village, worship, and nightly fellowship around the firepit.
