Pray for our pastors
A message from Rob & Sharon: “Thank you all for your love and prayers and so much great food. We are overwhelmed and humbled. The hospital continues to investigate what is causing Rob’s confusion. Please pray for a diagnosis soon.”
Let’s continue to pray for Rob, Sharon and the family. Pray too for Adam as he takes on some of Rob’s work. We have an excellent team of elders who are able to provide oversight and advice too. In order not to over-burden Adam in Rob’s absence, if you need to speak to a leader please speak first to those in your congregation – Ian, Dan and Adrian at Neston, and Rob P, John P and Alan C at Priory Street. You can also email them on oversight@corshambaptists.org.
Prayer walk tomorrow morning
Please join Alan C tomorrow for a prayer walk around Rudloe. We’ll set off from Broadwood School car park at 8.30am.
Raising Kids for Christ in a Confusing World – new date!
We’re delighted that we’ve been able to reschedule this important seminar following its postponement last month. Please mark Saturday 2nd March in your diaries and don’t miss out on this opportunity to join us as we explore current issues affecting our children. With our guest speaker, we’ll engage with hot topics like identity, gender, technology, sexualisation, media, relationships and more. The day is made up of three sessions and is open to parents, grandparents and those who serve with CBC’s children’s and youth activities. Spaces are £5 each (payable on the day), refreshments are provided but please bring your own packed lunch. To reserve your space, please sign up on the google form here. Those booked for the previous date need not book again if you’re planning to attend on the new date. However, if you can’t attend this time round, please just let Dan know.
Men’s ministry next Tuesday
The next Men’s night will be at CBC Priory St on Tuesday 20th Feb starting at 7:30pm. John P will be the guest speaker, talking about his life, his faith in Jesus, and his struggles with anger. Donuts and coffee ‘on tap’, and it will be a very good night to bring along your non-Christian friends. See you there!!
The Ark – Saturday 24th Feb
All children are invited to this fun service, 10.30am-12pm, which includes Bible stories, games, crafts, singing and puppets! You can sign up on Eventbrite here, and keep an eye on the Ark Facebook page here for more info. The team is also needing some additional helpers, so if you have a couple of hours spare on that Saturday morning please contact Sara Stone.
AIM event in Cardiff – 18th May
Our mission partner AIM (Africa Inland Mission) is holding an event in Cardiff to which all are invited. It’s an opportunity to meet and hear from Bishop Philip Mafuja Magwano of the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT) telling us about how AIM and churches in Tanzania have partnered together to further the gospel in that country. There will also be several missionary speakers and AIM workers at the event. For more information on the event and details on how to book, please see https://eu.aimint.org/event/mission-in-action-cardiff/.
Meal Train – Coordinator needed
We’re still seeking a Coordinator for our Meal Train Ministry, which blesses our church family with meals during times of joy or challenge. Meals are provided by a rota of volunteers and are set up (with the help of a very useful online app) by the coordinator. Meal Train coordination is straightforward and there is a clear process in place. On average, we deliver a meal train every other month and coordination takes 1-2 hours per meal train. So this is a great ministry for someone interested in getting more involved in church life and getting to know church members, but who doesn’t have loads of time to offer. For more information please contact Lucy Lewis on 07446 953259.
Friends reunited?
Ruth received a phone call in the office this week from a lady who is trying to trace an old friend who was in the Corsham/BoA area about 20 years ago. So, if you know of a Roz Lycett, please let Ruth know. Thanks.
Corsham Connections AGM – Thurs 29th Feb

It’s an opportunity to learn about what the charity does and meet its Trustees. More information is available at https://corshamconnections.co.uk/
Community Defibrillator Seminar—Thurs 14th March
CBC has its own defibrillator but do you know where it is or how to use it? An instructor from The Community Heartbeat Trust will be demonstrating the use of defibrillators in the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest.
