Youth Weekend Away
Please continue to pray for us as the young people go on their annual youth weekend away this weekend Friday – Sunday. We will be exploring the theme UNAFRAID (Mark 4:35-5:43).

Prayer walk around Rudloe – Sat 26th Oct
Please join us on a prayer walk around Rudloe tomorrow morning. We’ll set off from Broadwood School car park at 8.30am.

The Ark this Sat 26th Oct
Join us for a morning of fun from 10.30 this Saturday at The Ark, Priory Street. There will be stories, craft, snacks and our beloved puppets as we join together to share the Word with children from our church and our local community. Please help us increase numbers by bringing your children or grandchildren along and sharing the event with family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. We look forward to seeing you there!

F.L.A.G.S
There will be no F.L.A.G.S for the next two Wednesday’s, it will resume on Wed 13th.

The Light Party – Thurs 31st Oct
Join Rhiannon and the team as we come together to celebrate the light that is our Lord Jesus. Bring your children, grandchildren, friends and neighbours to join in the fun and party in Jesus’ light! We will have puppets, craft, wonderful stories and activities. 5-7pm at Priory Street. No need to book, just turn up on the night!

Calling all bakers!
We would be very grateful for baking contributions for the refreshments for the light party on Thursday 31st. Any queries or to volunteer please contact Liz P or Nathalie Prior.

A cashless church
A reminder that we are encouraging people to use the new card machine for offerings going forward. You will find the machine next to the offerings box at the back of Priory Street. Elders will be on hand at the back of the church should you need any help in using it.

We have an opportunity to pray together as a whole church at 6pm Sun 3rd Nov. Please join us at Priory Street for a time of worship, communion and prayer. A prayer leaflet will be available at the back of the church next week to use throughout the month.

The Haven – autism support group – starts Thurs 7th Nov

Do you have a neurodivergent child or grandchild? if so, please come and join our monthly autism/ADHD support group held at Priory Street for our local community.

Inclusion seminar – Tues Nov 19th 7.30pm

Working with Children and Young People with Special/Additional Needs or Disabilities. 
Rhiannon and Debbie Riall will be running a seminar at Priory Street using material from Urban Saints for parents,  junior church leaders and helpers and anyone who cares for children and young people with special or additional needs.  Please let Rhiannon know if you would like to attend in order to ensure enough material is prepared for each person. Bereavement ministry and support – Date TBC

As a Church we are planning to host a half day course on a Saturday morning run by Care for The Family called “The Bereavement Care Awareness Course”. The aim is to show us how best to support people we know who are suffering in grief. If you are interested in this half day course, please email your interest to bereavement@corshambaptists.org so that we can book a date and provide you with more information.


The Bereavement Journey Course – 5th Feb – 26th March

We will be offering another course from 5th Feb – 26th March, if you would like to sign up or receive more information please email bereavement@corshambaptists.org. The course is for anyone who has suffered a significant loss, recently or in the past, and are finding their grief difficult to process. This is a seven week course consisting of small group discussions and videos developed by Christians. The course is open to anyone in our local community whether or not they attend CBC. Please speak to Adam, Gordon or Anne Hill for more information.


Volunteers Required!

Light Party Thursday 31st Oct 5 – 7pm – help needed 

This is a great opportunity to serve the families in our community and share the Gospel. Could you help us with any of the following areas – craft, registration, kitchen tasks, setting up snacks, signing out of the children at the end or baking? Or perhaps you can help us put the chairs back after the event? Sign up sheets are at the back of church along with registration forms for children attending. Helpers to arrive at 4.30 for prayer before the event. Christianity Explored – Help needed

We are hoping to run another Christianity Explored course in January 2025. These will be Thursday evenings at Priory Street starting Thurs 16th January at 7:30pm. Over seven sessions, one per week, guests will read Mark’s Gospel to find out more about the life of Jesus Christ. The structure of each session is simple: a short Bible study, a talk and a discussion based on the talk. We need people to volunteer to cook a simple meal each week, volunteer helpers & table leaders. Full support & training will be provided. Volunteers required – Junior Church

Volunteers are needed to enable this ministry to continue at our Sunday services. You don’t necessarily have to teach and it won’t be every Sunday. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Our Regular events

  • Prayer for Missions & the Persecuted Church: the first Tuesday of every month, 8pm on Zoom. Contact the office for login details.
  • FLAGS (Fun Learning About God and Scripture): Wednesdays at 4.30-5.30pm during term time. For Primary School-aged children.
  • Women’s Bible Study: we meet once a month, usually on a Monday evening at 7.30pm, but the dates change so please check the notices for the current month! We’d love to have you join us!
  • Souper Friday Café: Friday mornings from 10am-1pm. Come and enjoy a free drink, cake and soup. Open for help with food items to take away too. Speak to Colin, Carol G, Brenda or Paul G for more information.
  • Ark Children’s Service: last Saturday of the month 10:30am-12:00pm during term-time only.
  • Toddlers: Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am during term-time only.
  • Life groups meet in person and/or online. Contact us if you’d like to join one.
  • Youth Groups – contact Dan for further details.
