Serving CBC@Neston

As the new services launch on Sunday 14th January, we would like to encourage as many people as possible to prayerfully consider how they can serve best in the various roles on a Sunday at each service. A sign-up sheet has been created specifically for the CBC@Neston service for people to complete. Please contact tims@corshambaptists.org to gain access to it.

Monthly mission update

This month’s update on our mission partners is available to collect from church or to download here. Please do grab your copy so that you can lift up their needs to the Lord in prayer.

Dorothy Perks thanksgiving service

A reminder that there will be a service at West Wiltshire Crematorium on Tuesday 9th January at 11.45am. This will be followed by a thanksgiving service at Priory Street at 1pm, followed by refreshments in the coffee hall. The family would love anyone wanting to say goodbye to Dorothy to come to either service. You are kindly asked to wear bright colours, rather than black.

Praying for our church facilitation

On Monday 15th January at 8pm (in the main sanctuary) everyone is invited to join the Facilitation Team to pray for our church activities for the year ahead.

The Facilitation Team meets monthly to plan and organise a number of activities/tasks that often take place behind the scenes. These jobs are really important in helping the church to run smoothly, and in turn enabling the gospel to be proclaimed in our town. We’re going to start the year praying for our property, safeguarding, finances, technology, events and a number of other aspects of church life. We would love others to join us as we lift up these matters to the Lord in prayer as we start 2024.

Raising Kids for Christ in a Confusing World: 20th January

There is still space for you to join us for this day seminar as we explore current issues affecting our children. With our guest speaker, we’ll engage with hot topics like identity, gender, technology, sexualisation, media, relationships and more. The day is made up of three sessions and is open to parents, grandparents and those who serve with CBC’s children’s and youth activities. Spaces are £5 each (payable on the day), refreshments are provided but please bring your own packed lunch. To reserve your space, please sign up on the form here.

Church meeting: 22nd January

If you attend any of CBC’s services on a regular basis, you are warmly invited to come to our next Church Meeting which will be on Monday 22nd January at 8pm.

Women’s Bible Study: 29th January

We look forward to you joining us on Monday 29th January at 7.30pm for the next in our series in 1 John. Study buddy notes are available to download here or pick up your copy from church. If you don’t have a study buddy partner and would like one, please speak to Anne H.

The Bereavement Journey Course

After the successful completion of the first two courses at CBC, we are planning to run a third course beginning in the last week of January w/c 29th. The Bereavement Journey is a series of films and discussion groups that gently guide people bereaved at any time through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps. It is totally free to take part in and will run for 2 hours a week, for 7 sessions. For more information, please contact our Associate Pastor: adamj@corshambaptists.org.
