We will share communion together as part of our morning worship.

Our morning services at Priory Street are live-streamed and recorded on our YouTube channel. If you would prefer not to appear on screen, please sit in or under the balcony.

Our weekly prayer walks will continue in 2024 and you are invited to join Alan C tomorrow morning for a prayer walk around Corsham. We’ll set off from CBC Priory Street at 8.30am.

Midweek service – Weds 17th Jan at 2pm

You will find a warm welcome at our midweek service. Rob D will bring us a message from Ephesians 1: 15-23, David M will lead us in worship and intercessory prayers will be led by Colin R. Stay on afterwards for refreshments in the coffee hall.

Praying for our Facilitation team

On Monday 15th January at 8pm (in the main sanctuary) everyone is invited to join the Facilitation Team to pray for our church activities for the year ahead.

The Facilitation Team meets monthly to plan and organise a number of activities/tasks that often take place behind the scenes. These jobs are really important in helping the church to run smoothly, in turn enabling the gospel to be proclaimed in our town. We’re going to start the year praying for our property, safeguarding, finances, technology, events and a number of other aspects of church life. We would love others to join us as we lift up these matters to the Lord in prayer as we start 2024.

Raising Kids for Christ in a Confusing World: 20th January

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join us for this day seminar as we explore current issues affecting our children. With our guest speaker, we’ll engage with hot topics like identity, gender, technology, sexualisation, media, relationships and more. The day is made up of three sessions and is open to parents, grandparents and those who serve with CBC’s children’s and youth activities. Spaces are £5 each (payable on the day), refreshments are provided but please bring your own packed lunch. To reserve your space, please sign up on the form here.

Church meeting: 22nd January

If you attend any of CBC’s services on a regular basis, you are warmly invited to come to our next Church Meeting which will be on Monday 22nd January at 8pm.

The Ark: Saturday 27th January

The first Ark of the year is coming up at the end of the month and all children are invited to this fun service which includes Bible stories, games, crafts, singing and puppets! Keep an eye on the Ark Facebook page here for more info. The team is also needing some additional helpers, so if you have a couple of hours spare on that Saturday morning please contact Sara Stone.

Meal Train – Coordinator needed

Our Meal Train Ministry has been running for many years, blessing members of our church family at times of both joy and challenge. The meal train provides up to two weeks of meals to those who have welcomed new babies or are going through difficult times due to illness or injury. Meals are provided by a rota of generous volunteers and are set up (with the help of a very useful online app) by the coordinator.

Since 2020 the Meal Train Ministry has been coordinated by Lucy Lewis, who will sadly be leaving Corsham Baptist Church later this year. Meal Train coordination is straightforward and there is a clear process in place already. On average, we deliver a meal train every other month and coordination takes 1-2 hours per meal train. So this is a great ministry for someone interested in getting more involved in church life and getting to know church members, but who doesn’t have loads of time to offer. For more information please contact Lucy Lewis on 07446 953259.

FLAGS and Hang Out

These two activities for children have been postponed until Easter in Rhiannon’s absence.

A question for you….

Do you ever look at the information that’s laid out on the tables at the back of church and in the foyer? There’s a lot of really good stuff there, waiting for you to pick up, take home and read. You will find:

– A few hard copies of the notices (for those who can’t receive them via email).
– The monthly update on CBC’s mission partners and how you can pray for them.
– Current Ladies Bible study notes for when you meet with your study buddy.
– A really great book by Paul Garcia on the history of CBC (£8.99 with all profits going to support Open Doors).
– Prayer cards and magazines from our mission partners.
– Booking forms for this year’s Ladies Retreat (or book online here).
– Flyers for our youth activities….
….and much more! Please have a look!
