Youth Weekend Away – Fri 22nd – Sun 24th Oct – HELP NEEDED!
Although only the youth (& leaders) get to enjoy the weekend itself, we would love it if the whole church (that means you!) could be involved in one of the following 3 ways:
- Pray Prayer changes things. God answers prayer. God fulfils His purposes through His people praying. So please pray for the young people that they would have an amazing time away building deeper relationships with each other and God. That the young people will encounter God through his dealings with Elijah who we will be looking at.
- Drive What a way to count the cost (literally with fuel shortages!) We require 1-2 drivers on Friday at 4pm and Sun at 3pm to transport young people to and from Woodcroft Christian Centre (Chepstow).
- Donate We require about a dozen old pillows that you wouldn’t mind not receiving back as they may get destroyed by youth games. So if you have an old unused pillow give it a second (albeit brief) life by donating it.
Any Questions or if you can assist, please speak to Dan (mastermarsy at hotmail.com).

Safeguarding Training
If you are planning to work with children, young people or vulnerable adults and haven’t had safeguarding training, we have a date for your diary! There will be safeguarding training in the church on the afternoon of Saturday 27th November (1:30-4:30pm) – Face to face training is valid for 5 years.
Please let Mark E. (marke at corshambaptists.org) or Steve B. (see directory) know if you would like to join this safeguarding training.

We’re looking for volunteers to be Community Managers for a church Facebook Group. Once set up, the Group will be a closed and secure online space for us to keep in touch with our church family throughout the week. We’re looking for a few people to help manage this, by checking the Group a few times a week and engaging with people via comments and posts. If you’d be interested in getting involved, please email Jasmine W. on jasmineketurah at gmail.com.
Church Administrator
Following interviews last week, the Trustees are pleased to say that the role of Church Administrator has been offered to Ruth Lancaster, who has accepted. Her anticipated start date is mid November. Her hours of work and contact details will be circulated in November. Please join us in congratulating Ruth and welcoming her as a member of staff.
Craft Group Outreach
The Craft Group restarted this month. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Christian fellowship, learn new craft skills or complete that yet to finish project. Bring along a craft activity, but more importantly, bring along friend to share in a non-threatening Christian environment. The group meets every first Saturday of the month. The next meeting is Saturday 6th November @10am.
Can you help?
Do you have a spare/unwanted computer monitor that you would be willing to donate to the church? If so, please contact the church office.
