Joint service – Sunday 1stnot on the farm

Contrary to last week’s announcement, the vagaries of the British weather have meant that our joint service on Sunday will not be held on the farm, but at Priory Street. We look forward to seeing all our congregations worshipping together at 11am, warm and dry! Music will be led by Nancy and Rob D will be preaching on John 3: 16. The service will be streamed online and you can join here.

The Ark – tomorrow!

Heather and her team are looking forward to seeing primary-aged children and their parents tomorrow morning at The Ark, a fun and interactive service which will be held at Priory Street from 10.30am-12pm. Join us for songs, crafts, Bible stories and puppets! Spaces can be reserved via Eventbrite – please click here. Check out the Facebook page too for more information.

Gathered to Pray – Sunday 1st

“Prayer is the Christian’s vital breath, the Christian’s native air” – words from a wonderful hymn by James Montgomery. You are warmly invited to join us at our evening service at 6pm on Sunday when we will be praying for Church on the Green and local evangelism.

Youth summer camp – need of a van (with or without a man!)

Dates: 30th July and/or 4th August.  This summer the youth are going on summer camp and they are in need of a van to transport equipment to the event. We can, of course, hire a van, but in the first instance Dan wonders if anyone has a van that we can use for this purpose. This would enable us to save money on our limited budget. We have willing drivers who we could insure.  If you can assist, please speak to Dan. Thanks!

Men’s Ministry – Tuesday 10th May

The next Men’s Ministry evening will be held on Tuesday 10th May at Priory Street. There will be refreshments from 7:30pm, including a portion of chips! The session will be delivered by Rob Durant who will focus on the issue of gender identity.  We hope to see you there.

Mixer Tech Training

Ben R writes, “We will shortly be completing the re-wiring work that is a prerequisite of installing the new digital mixer. Please follow the link below to complete a very short survey so that we can gauge the interest in receiving training for the new mixer or the existing pre-set mixer (simplified solution requiring no user interaction).”

Tearfund – Ukraine appeal

Our friends at Tearfund have written to thank us for the donation we made recently to their Ukraine appeal. They write, “The generosity of Corsham Baptist Church will be a lifeline to people caught up in this brutal conflict. More than three million people have fled the country, and many more have had to leave their homes to escape the fighting. Your gift will help ensure they have the support they need. Our Christian partners are on the ground now, providing essentials such as food, bedding and temporary accommodation. This crucial work can only happen thanks to the faithfulness of people like you. Vulnerable families who have lost everything will have their immediate needs met thanks to your support.”
