Gathered to Praise
Please join us this Sunday evening at 6pm at Priory Street for our monthly service of worship and praise.
Getting to know…the Durants!
Part of the process in discerning the Lord’s will concerning a new Senior Pastor is to get to know the candidate! Although many of us know Rob & Sharon Durant quite well, there will be an opportunity for us to get to know them better through Q&A sessions. These will be held at Priory Street on Thursday 24th March at 7.30pm, Saturday 26th March at 2pm and Wednesday 30th March after the midweek service at 2pm. All are warmly welcome.
The Ark – Sat 26th March
This fun and interactive service for primary school-aged children is held every month at Priory Street from 10.30am-12pm. Join us for songs, crafts, Bible stories and puppets! This month we will be celebrating the Easter story. Spaces can be reserved via Eventbrite – please click here. Check out the Facebook page too for more information.
Corsham Churches Food Bank
Corsham Churches Foodbank (CCFB) has remained open and operational on Tuesday and Saturday mornings throughout the pandemic. We are so grateful for the donations of money, food items and Nectar points, for volunteers who give their time and for our partnership with Sainsburys, Chippenham and the Co-op in Corsham, all of which enables us to provide this ministry to those who need it. The collecting box, located in the porch at Priory Street, is open for receiving your food donations again. If you would like to know more about this ministry and how you can support it, please contact either Roger or Hazel H (our contact details are in the Church Directory), or call the CCFB mobile for specific queries 07788 115095. Thank you!
Donations for Ukraine
It’s wonderful how local people have responded and donated emergency items for Ukraine. However, some of our local collection points are no longer receiving practical donations and suggest that monetary gifts are given instead. Tearfund, a ministry that CBC supports, and a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee, is seeking donations as it works with local Christian partners in Ukraine to bring help and relief. You can find out more, and give online, here. Tearfund has also produced a helpful guide to enable you to pray for this crisis.
30 Days of Prayer for Ramadan
The Muslim fasting month of Ramadan starts on 2nd April. There is a daily diary available to help us pray through this month – available to buy online at https://www.worldprayerguides.org.uk/product/muslim-prayer-guide-2022-adult-version/ or see Gill Bryant for a printed copy, discount price £1.60.
And finally….
….the rather dry but necessary subject of car parking. Our neighbours in Priory Street have written to us again to ask us to refrain from parking on Priory Street but rather to use the car parks in town, which have free parking for 2 hours. They are finding it increasingly difficult to find parking spaces near their homes when events are happening at church throughout the week. Please let’s bear them in mind and do our best to maintain a cordial relationship with them. Thank you.
