Baptisms this Sunday

We’re looking forward to celebrating and giving thanks to God for three young people as they are baptised at Priory Street on Sunday – Will R at the 9.15 service and Robert M and Ollie H at the 11.15 service. Please pray for them as they prepare to give their testimonies and go through this act of witness of their faith in Christ.

If you are interested in finding out more about baptism, please speak to any of the elders.

CBC Youth – DTI summer camp

Please pray for the young people (22 of them) as they participate in their annual camp at Stafford showground. They arrive on Saturday 29th July and return Thursday 3rd Aug. Please pray that they would deepen relationships with each other and with God.

Summer Holiday Club at Priory Street – 21-24 August

Help is needed for this event, catering, serving refreshments, leaders, helpers, worship band and registration. Please speak to Rhiannon if you can help out or would like to know more. Sign up sheets and more information is on the board at the back of church. Book your free places at: https://CBC-holiday-bible-club-2023.eventbrite.co.uk

Date for your diaries – Saturday 23rd Sept

Please mark in your diaries the 23rd September – this is the day that our new Assoc Pastor, Adam Jacques, will be ordained and inducted into ministry here at CBC. The service will start at 2pm at Priory Street and will be followed by refreshments.

AIM Conference 2023

We have been invited to provide a children’s programme for the AIM Kenya Conference in November. If you would like to know more or be considered to be included in the team please speak to Rhiannon. The dates of travel are provisionally 15-22 November.

Hang Out

Just a reminder for parents that Hang Out won’t be on over the summer holidays but will resume again in September.

Request for gardening help

Two of our members, Wendy & Lionel, have asked if anyone would be able to do some gardening work for them, cutting grass, weeding and general tidying, as they are now unable to keep up with it. It would be paid work for 2 hours per week. You would need the necessary skills and experience, and your own equipment as Wendy & Lionel don’t have their own. If you’re able to help in this way, please speak to Ruth in the church office for contact details.

And finally…

A gentle request for those who use rooms at church to leave them as they found them (i.e. tidy!) so they are ready for whoever uses them next.
