Discipleship Explored – Sunday at 6pm
We’ll be meeting at Priory Street for our final session in this course when we will discover and discuss the secret of contentment as we study Philippians ch. 4.
Youth Camp: 30th July – 4th August
Please PRAY for our young people as they go on summer camp, that they would encounter God and be changed by Him, grasping more of His love for them and His plans for them. Pray too that they will grow in the depth of their relationships with one another. Thank you!
Tech Talk
The new digital mixer has been installed and the first training sessions have happened. If you were unable to attend but would still like training please contact Ben R on benr@corshambaptists.org. Please let him know your availability on weekday evenings and Saturdays. We are so grateful to Ben and his trusty team for all their hard work behind the scenes to upgrade our tech facilities.
In-Ear Monitors
We are experimenting with In-Ear monitoring through August. We have borrowed a passive monitor and are acquiring an active monitor. If you would like more information please contact Ben who will send you an information sheet.
Souper Friday Summer Party: 20th August 2.00-4.30pm
The Souper Friday team is planning a wonderful afternoon of food and entertainment at Priory Street. If you would like to come please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church or contact Colin on 07774 295174. If you can help on the day please contact one of the Souper Friday team .
Cultural issues talks on Saturdays in Sept and Oct
How do we engage with our culture and keep a firm grip on God’s teaching? Rob D will be repeating the cultural issues talks given to the men’s ministry, so that everyone can access this important teaching. The four topics are same-sex attraction, gender identity, beginning of life and euthanasia. The teaching sessions will be across four Saturday afternoons: 10th and 24th of September, 8th and 29th of October. No need to book; all are welcome.
Easter in Israel: April 2023
Steve Lancaster will be leading an Oak Hall trip to Israel over Easter next year and it would be great to have a contingent of CBC folk there. The dates are 1st-10th April. You do need to be reasonably fit as there is a fair amount of walking, and you do need to have a sense of Biblical adventure! Regular Activities
- Community Money Advice is open for face-to-face meetings each Thursday evening and Friday morning. Do get in touch if you would like help and advice in this area. Pre-booked appointments only.
- Craft Group: if you enjoy crafting come and join us on the first Saturday of the month (unless other notified) from 10am-12.30pm at Priory Street. Please bring your own craft project to do.
- Prayer for Missions & the Persecuted Church: the first Tuesday of every month, 7.45pm on Zoom. Contact the office for login details.
- Souper Friday Café: Friday mornings from 9am. Come and enjoy a free drink, cake and soup. Open for help with food items to take away too. Speak to Colin W, Esther A, Joan C or Jo S for more information.
- Ark Children’s Service: last Saturday of the month 10:30am-12:00pm during term-time only.
- Mum’s Bible Study: Monday mornings between 9.30am-11.30am (term-time only). For more information speak to Christine C or Vicki K.
- Toddlers: Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am during term-time only.
- Life groups meet in person and/or online. Contact us if you’d like to join one.
