Prayer walk around Rudloe – Saturday morning

The weather is set fair for the weekend so why not join us on a prayer walk for Rudloe tomorrow morning. We’ll set off from Broadwood School car park at 8.30am.

Women’s Bible Study – Mon 24th June

Dear sisters in Christ, join us on Monday evening for our next study in the book of 1 John, when Hannah will be sharing what God has laid on her heart. We’ll start at 7.30pm and refreshments will be available beforehand.

Neston discussion & prayer meeting – Tues 25th June

There’s an opportunity to meet for discussion and prayer for anyone who is interested in a ministry continuing in Neston once we, God willing, proceed to worshipping at Rudloe on Sundays. Please join us next Tuesday at 8pm at Priory Street. All are welcome, even if not currently attending CBC@Neston. Contact Ian H for more information if needed.

The Ark – Sat 29th June

All children are invited to this fun service from 10.30am-12pm, which will include Bible stories, games, crafts, singing and puppets! Keep an eye on the Ark Facebook page here for more info, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Date of next church meeting / Elder elections

Please note 15th July in your diary as the date of the next church meeting. The meeting will include an update on the Rudloe Community Centre, and we’ll be voting on the election of two Elders. John Prior and Rob Perks have been faithfully serving as Elders and their terms come to an end in July. Both have indicated that they are willing to stand for re-election if nominated. If you are a full member and would like to nominate someone as an Elder, please complete a nomination form (available at church). You will need to get your nominee’s permission and find someone to second your nomination. Please hand your form in to the church office by Sunday 30th June.

Hope Explored

Hope Explored is a short course that shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present. Hope Explored is one of the easiest ways to introduce someone to Christianity. Adam will be running the course across three Fridays starting on 28th June, from 10.30am-12pm in the Hut. Please prayerfully consider who you might invite – watch out for the flyers at church for you to give out. Places on the course can be reserved via Eventbrite here: cbchopeexplored.eventbrite.co.uk or via the QR code opposite.

Men’s Weekend Away – 20th-22nd September

There’s still space for you on the Weekend Away if you haven’t yet booked. We’ll be staying at the YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse, Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The dates are Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd September with an option to stay until Monday morning at no extra cost. The cost is £85 per person (concessions available as required) – the priority is to have you there so please talk to Ian Holmes or Dave Eckley if funding is an issue.

Teaching will be by Mark Fossey, Senior Pastor at Redeemer Church in Croydon. Mark has been involved in church ministry for over 20 years in central and suburban London. There will be plenty of food (chef duties ably supplied by our brother Tim Hogg), walks out, coffee in the local village, worship, and nightly fellowship around the firepit.

To reserve your space please complete the google form here. Payment can be made via bank transfer – details below.

AIM outreach opportunity

Africa Inland Mission will be running a Community Outreach Week from 3rd–11th August, alongside a Midlands city centre church, seeking to reach out to the North African community on their doorstep. Pray that God will bless the practical planning of this week and that the team will have enough volunteers to run the week and share the gospel with African people in the UK. Could you join the team? Find out more here or speak to Wendy Rowe or Ruth Lancaster.

Meal Train Coordinator needed

We’re seeking a Coordinator for our Meal Train Ministry, which blesses our church family with meals during times of joy or challenge. Meals are provided by a rota of volunteers and are set up (with the help of a very useful online app) by the coordinator. Meal Train coordination is straightforward and there is a clear process in place. On average, we deliver a meal train every other month and coordination takes 1-2 hours per meal train. So this is a great ministry for someone interested in getting more involved in church life and getting to know church members, but who doesn’t have loads of time to offer. For more information please contact Lucy Lewis on 07446 953259.

Volunteer required – Designated Person for Safeguarding

We’re looking for a volunteer, ideally with the relevant experience, to work in the Safeguarding Team as DPS – click here to read the role description. Please get in touch with Elspeth Pitman on elspethp@corshambaptists.org for further details or to express an interest.

Volunteer required – Health & Safety Ministry Leader

Could you take on this role? Click here to read the role description and if you’re interested in helping in this way, please speak to Jonny Street or any of the trustees.

Safeguarding at CBC

Should you have any safeguarding concerns, no matter how small, please contact the safeguarding team at safeguarding@corshambaptists.org – you can find the full safeguarding policy here.
