6pm Praying Together

The prayer meeting is the engine room of the church, so said CH Spurgeon. So come along to Priory Street on Sunday evening to man CBC’s ‘engine room’ as you join us for worship, prayer and communion. Please click here to download a copy of the prayer points, or collect your copy from church.

Prayer walk – tomorrow morning

Wendy R will be leading our weekly prayer walk on Saturday morning around Corsham. We’ll set off from church at 8.30am.

Spring Clean – loft clear out tomorrow!

The Facilitation Team will be clearing and sorting out the loft above the “overflow hall” tomorrow morning from 9am. If you have an hour or two to lend a hand with this mammoth task, you will be much appreciated! There are rumours that some breakfast-y treats may be available! Also, if you think you have any items in the loft that you need (or don’t) it would be really helpful if you could come along to help – or if not available please have a chat with Hollie or Jonny in advance. Midweek service – Weds 10th April at 2pm

There’s a warm welcome to all on Wednesday for our midweek service. David M will bring the Word from Eph 4: 1-16 and we’ll share communion together.

Volunteer required – Designated Person for Safeguarding

We are very grateful to Kate Harding for being the Designated Person for Safeguarding (DPS) at CBC and prior to this Deputy DPS. She will be stepping down from this role at the end of April due to her move back to Australia. We are therefore looking for a volunteer, ideally with the relevant experience, to work in the Safeguarding Team as DPS – click here to read the role description. Tech Q&A drop-in morning: Sat 13th April, 10am-12.30pm

We’re having a drop-in Q&A morning so if you are:

A member of a tech rota with questions about how things work;
Thinking about joining a tech rota but want to know more first;
Wanting some basic knowledge like how to switch on….

…then please pop in on this day and we’ll be there to help and inform you.

Temporary accommodation needed

Our brother Dave Eckley is looking for some temporary lodgings in Corsham or nearby, either a room, flat or house, for his father to rent, ideally on a monthly basis. Since Dave’s mum passed away recently, the family is trying to find his dad somewhere local to rent so he can spend more time with family here before he looks at buying a place nearby. If you can help or know of a place available, please contact Dave directly on 07866 692474.

Regular Activities

Junior Church: volunteers are needed to enable this ministry to continue at our Sunday services. You don’t necessarily have to teach and it won’t be every Sunday. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you feel you can serve in this way, please complete the form here so that the necessary safeguarding checks can be done.
Our Community Money Advice service is available by appointment for anybody who is struggling with debt problems. Do get in touch if you would like help and advice in this area. Tel. 07895 716485.
Prayer for Missions & the Persecuted Church: the first Tuesday of every month, 7.45pm on Zoom. Contact the office for login details.
Women’s Bible Study: we meet on the last Monday every month from 7.30pm.
Souper Friday Café: Friday mornings from 10am-1pm. Come and enjoy a free drink, cake and soup. Open for help with food items to take away too. Speak to Colin, Carol G, Brenda or Paul G for more information.
Ark Children’s Service: last Saturday of the month 10:30am-12:00pm during term-time only.
Mum’s Bible Study: Monday mornings between 9.30am-11.30am (term-time only). For more information speak to Christine C or Vicki K.
Toddlers: Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am during term-time only.
FLAGS (Fun Learning About God and Scripture): this activity has been paused for the time being.
